After searching for some nice pillows at a cheap price in my favorite stores I discovered they are hard to find! I got inspired by some designs and decided to give it a try. I had no patterns, just a book called "The Everything Sewing Book" that my mom bought for me (linked below) which gives basics about sewing a zipper, pillows, and anything else you can think of. What can I say? It was my first big sewing project, not perfect if you look close enough, but I like them! Most important I got exactly what I wanted by doing it myself, and it was fairly simple. There's another one with ribbon and a button but some one already ripped the button off...ahhh the joy of having two aggressive boys. :)
I also plan to use some of my left-over fabrics to make some fabric drawers for the kids toys and such...stay tuned! :)
Looks very cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. I've been wanting to make some small pillows and potholders from items that I have cross-stitched, we should get together so you could teach me how to use a sewing machine, lol :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks :) Totally - using a sewing machine is sooo much easier/faster!
